Cádiz Bay - Salt Marshes And Much More (Turismo Ornitológico)
Observación de Aves (Turismo Ornitológico)
La ‘Tacita de Plata’ (The Silver Cup), the local name of the bay of Cádiz, due to the reflection of the light in its waters, is probably one of the most magical places for bird watching. Cádiz Bay Natural Park is easily accessible, surrounded by quaint villages and includes almost completely unexplored areas that Cadiz Birding can take you to enjoy the birds and the landscape. Striking species such as Flamingos, Spoonbills, Glossy Ibis, and spectacular roosting places of a variety of Tern species swill make this tour an unforgettable experience.
Additionally, surrounding the bay there are different natural reserves with shallow lagoons that provide habitat, resting places and food to very interesting species like White-headed Duck, Red-knobbed Coot or Marbled Duck. On the other hand, two river mouths (Guadalete and San Pedro) and salt mining infrastructure have transformed this place, and offer a unique and diverse landscape with Ospreys, Eurasian Curlews, Avocets, many species of other shorebirds and a large number of seagulls just waiting to be observed.
