Day 1: Cusco  -  Sacred Valley – Ollantaytambo

In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel by private bus and then we head in the direction of the town of Pisac, where we visit the archaeological complex of the same name (pre-Inca city, annexed in the twelfth century to the Inca State). After our tour at the site, we have a plenty of time to visit the traditional market of Pisac, famous for the great offer of different handmade textiles, potteries and others. After that, we will go to the town of Urubamba to have the lunch in a typical local restaurant sipping a buffett.

Then we will expect the impressive archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo (Living Inca City or Royal House of the Sun). Finishing our tour we lodge in a local hotel to begin the next day the Inka Trail.

Day 2: Short Inka Trail to Machupicchu

We take the early morning train from Ollantaytambo through the picturesque Sacred Valley to Km 104, where we begin the trail (All the route is a moderate hike), but before we will visit the Inca complex of Chachabamba. Our hike continues gently upward for more than three hours until we reach the beautifully Inca complex of Winay Wayna. In this part of the trail we will be able to enjoy the amazing sub-tropical landscapes with singular flora and fauna surround us. As we continue 2 hours to get at the Sun Gate, from where we will have the first sight of Machu Picchu. We walk down past the majestic archeological complex, then take the bus to Aguas Calientes to spend a relaxing night in a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: Machupicchu – Cusco

After an early wake up and breakfast, we take the bus ride up to Machu Picchu, where we will tour the amazing architecture and mysterious temples left by the andean masters and specialized stone masons. A professional bilingual guide will help us to understand the sophisticated technology of this highly-advanced culture. Once the official tour is completed, we will have plenty of time to explore by yourself the Sanctuary on your own before returning to Cusco by train trought Ollantaytambo in the afternoon.
