Bald Ibis - One Of The Most Endangered Species Of Birds

The entire, worldwide population of Bald Ibis is probably no more than 600-700 birds. Most of those concentrate in the Souss-Massa National Park (Morocco).

Due to the critical conservation state of its population, the Andalusia Regional Government and ZOO-Botanic of Jerez conducted a reintroduction project that has had a lot of success. Nowadays in Cádiz, we are lucky to be able to regularly and easily observe a fairly large group of Bald Ibis. Currently, there are almost 100 individuals reproducing freely, in the wild, in Cádiz.
